Twitter Widget in Silverlight 3

8. September 2009 05:37

I was creating a twitter "widget" for a project so I decided to make the core of it available on codeplex.   This is meant to be placed anywhere on a web page to show the recent tweets of a given username.  As you can see from the screenshot below, it is quite simple.  However, the nice thing about this is that the colors are meants to be changed via the InitParams in the object tag.  This gives total flexability for putting it in your website.  This twitter "widget" is design in Silverlight 3 and ASP.NET 3.5 SP1.  There is a WCF service in the web project that is required for the silverlight application to work.  Please visit the codeplex site to download the project and read more a description as far as the InitParams available to use.

Slim Twit - Twitter Client Windows Mobile 6

3. May 2009 18:46

So here are some screenshots of my twitter client I made for my HTC Touch Pro. I'm excited about it because my specialty is ASP.NET. I'm a beginner when it comes to windows forms, and windows mobile forms..well..geez is there something below beginner?! Anyway here is how it turned out. The problem I still have is why the profile images won't download correctly. For some reason I'm still getting a timeout after it downloads a couple of them. It's weird. Oh well I'll worry about that later.
